I lick my fingers also, but it doesn't remove the stains right away. I shared hot Cheetos this one time, and this guy would lick his fingers every time he would eat a Cheeto. He would then try and put his hand back in the bag. No no no !

Don't get them red in the first place. I don't eat them but my brother does. He dumps hot sauce in the bag with them and shakes it all up to cover them, then he uses chopsticks to eat them.
